Katy Kennicott
SENIOR CREATIVE DESIGNER
Katy Kennicott’s journey with The Grant Collection began in late 2022 as a Venue Assistant, where her passion for creating beautiful, welcoming spaces quickly shone through. By 2023, she advanced to Venue Manager, before stepping into the role of Décor Manager, where she honed her expertise in décor consultation and innovative design. In her current role as Senior Creative Designer, Katy has played a pivotal role in shaping the success of Charm Decor House, designing over 300 weddings and events and introducing new décor concepts and business practices.
With a background in art, yoga, and general education, Katy’s creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are the driving forces behind her work. She thrives on collaborating with couples to bring their wedding visions to life, ensuring every décor detail aligns with their dreams. From building Charm’s inventory system to working hands-on during event installations like drapery at Port 393, Katy’s passion is in the process—from initial ideas to the final product.
The most rewarding part of her job is seeing a client’s vision come to life on event day, watching the décor transform a space, and hearing guests’ reactions. Outside of work, Katy enjoys home and yard projects, art, spending time with her family, and traveling to new destinations, especially in the summer when she loves to be by the water. Her dream for 2025 is to curate an unforgettable event that pushes the boundaries of creativity while contributing to the growth and success of her team.

Lauren Dale
Junior Creative Designer
Lauren Dale joined Charm Decor House in September 2025 as a Junior Creative Designer. A graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Apparel and Textile Design, Lauren brings over 12 years of experience as an apparel designer to her new role. Her background in fashion has honed her eye for trends, attention to detail, and love for creative collaboration—all of which she now channels into crafting unforgettable event designs.
Lauren is passionate about creating experiences that tell a story and reflect each client’s unique style. For her, the most rewarding moment is seeing a client’s design vision come to life, transforming a space into something truly memorable.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys hiking, solving Sudoku puzzles, and spending time with her dog, River. A fun fact about her: she’s sung at four weddings!

Brittany Piffer
INVENTORY ASSISTANT
Brittany Piffer’s journey with The Grant Collection began as a Venue Assistant at Port 393, where she quickly moved up to Venue Coordinator. After years of organizing and setting up events, Brittany discovered her passion for décor and transitioned to her current role as Inventory Assistant at Charm Decor House, where she plays a key role in curating the perfect event experiences.
Though Brittany pursued nursing studies at both Baker College and Muskegon Community College, it was her love for creating beautifully curated spaces that led her to the wedding industry. Her detail-oriented nature and creative eye for aesthetics have made her a valuable asset to the décor team. Brittany enjoys watching events unfold, seeing the space come together from a blank canvas into a stunning backdrop for couples to celebrate their love.
The most rewarding part of her work is witnessing the joy and excitement of couples and guests coming together to celebrate a special day, knowing that she’s helped bring that magic to life. Outside of work, Brittany loves crafting at home or letting loose on the dance floor with friends while line dancing.

Foster Grahn
Logistics Coordinator
Foster Grahn began his journey with The Grant Collection as a Venue Assistant at Port 393 before stepping into his current role as Logistics Coordinator. A graduate of Compass College of Film and Media with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Foster brings a creative perspective and a lifetime of hospitality experience to every event he helps coordinate. His passion for planning and precision ensures that each celebration runs seamlessly from concept to completion.
Foster finds the most joy in meeting the diverse range of people who come through The Grant Collection’s doors and helping bring their dream events to life. Known for his organization and enthusiasm, he takes pride in being part of a creative, passionate team that turns unforgettable experiences into reality.
Outside of work, Foster enjoys traveling the world with family and friends.
